Illustrious Sir Stan Garrett presents the El Korah shrine 49th Annnual Double Feature Melodrama playing the Investor’s Daughter aand  Manic Manor. If you missed last years show, here’s a clip of what you missed out on…

The Melodrama is a great tradition in the El Korah Shrine. We are looking forward to celebrating half a century of great shows. This year’s show is going to be a double feature with two very entertaining shows. The Investor’s Daughter  written by Eddie Cope and Carl Williams and produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, In., Englewood, Colorado. Manic Manor By Don S. Lowry Produced by special arrangement with Heuer Publishing of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Our Double Feature open night will be March 3rd, curtain’s at 8:00pm. The fun continues on March 9-10 and 16-17. Tickets are $12.50 or $90 for a table of 8 people. Dinner will be served before the show for $10 if meal ticket was purchased before March 3rd. Dinner tickets will be $12.50 opening night. Dessert will be served at intermission.

The YES club presents the 2^nd Annual Adult Prom. Grab your girl, get out your 20’s themed attire and get to El Korah Shrine on February 18^th.  The fun begins at 7:30pm, it is $20.00 per person or $35.00 a couple. No host bar for those 21 and over. There will be a live DJ, so bring your dancin’ shoes. Included in your ticket will be a dinner buffet and a chance to win door and raffle prizes. The best dressed couple will be awarded so come dressed to impress. This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. So grab any and everyone you know and head down to El Korah (1118 W. Idaho St.) on Feb. 18^th. • Thank you to everyone who made the 2012 installation so special.
• On January 11^th we were presented 641 wooden toys from Michael Kingsley and the Ada Woodworking Club to take to the Portland and Salt Lake hospitals.
• The Divan is traveling to Twin Falls on Feb. 10^th to have a Club meeting at 5:45pm. Then we will drive to Pocatello and have another Club meeting there on Feb. 11^th at 8:00am.
• Thanks to everyone who came out to the Sand Duners Sweetheart Auction on Feb. 4^th. We had a great time and I hope you did too.
• The 13^th Annual Black Light Patrol Crab Feed was a hit. Even though crab prices were extremely higher than in past years we were able to pull of the feed again. Thanks to everyone who supported us and came out.
• If any of you are looking for fraternal fun and friendship we encourage you to join us ar winter PNSA in Medford, OR Feb. 16-19. If you’re interested please contact the recorder’s office.
• The March stated meeting will be in Pocatello on March 14^th. If you’re interested in going contact the recorder’s office. We will be taking a bus and stopping in Twin Falls to pick up anyone who wants to join us.
• And once again this year I want all nobles to remember their heritage and take pride in the shrine!

Other awards include: Noble Jeremy Miltenberger receiver the El Korah Samzar Jewel for bringing five new members.

Tommy Hisaw was given Director Emeritus status and received its fez.

Garland Risner received for the Sand Duners the El Korah Outstanding Unit of the Year Award. The Idaho Grand Master Noble Jay Leonard, PP awarded our Illustrious Sir Ray Westmoreland the Idaho Freemason Medal of Merit.

Past Potentate Ray Westmoreland was elected as President for the ensuing year. Voter turnout was light as David Nordling was elected as Vice President for the 5th or 6th time. Past Potentate Cal Ledbetter repeats as Secretary/Treasurer. The Camel Herder degree was offered the following week as new Noble Bruce Drewes and Recorder Bob Finney successfully completed this challenging feat. The Camels had a wonderful year parading, with many dignitaries making guest appearances on board. Past Potentate Jim Rees, Outer Guard and Clown Dave Thomas, Oriental Guide Cory Turner, 2012 Potentate Stan Garrett and Recorder Bob Finney all spent time in the saddle. The Camel received a First Place Award in the Western Days Parade in Twin Falls.
