A Players Perspective

We asked some of the 2010 East vs. West All Star players what their experience was like playing in this years game. Here’s what they said…

“I had a lot of fun. I met a lot of cool kids and coaches from different schools. The only thing i didnt like was practicing out in the cold with no heaters. But other then that i had a great time. I really enjoyed it.”

-Hunter Hyde, Skyview High School

“My experience in the East vs. West All Star game was one That I’ll never forget. It felt great to be playing for a cause other than just to win. It was a good feeling knowing that i was playing to support Shiners hospitals. I Think i can speak for everyone saying that it was such a fun experience and felt honored that i was selected to play in it.”

-Dillon Lukehart, Eagle High School

“My experience with the East vs West Shrine game was wonderful! It was a really fun week of football and it was for a outstanding cause! The game was a classic game that ended in double overtime. It was one of the best games i have ever played. It was also special to share our experience with D.J. our honorary captain. He is the tuffest young man i have ever been in contact with. I cant even imagine what he has gone through…but he always had a smile on his face! Thank you so much for allowing me to play in the game! I will never forget it!”

-Cody McCarthy, Bishop Kelly High School

Whether you played in the game or went and watched we would love to hear from you! Please leave a comment below and tell us your experience of the game.
