Jakobe Today

The final part of the process, which we are currently in, was to put him in braces that he had to wear continuously for about 23 hours a day. Our scheduled visits to Shriners, instead of being weekly, now are three to four months apart.

We have been nothing less than amazed with El Korah (the local Boise Shrine) organization and Shriners for Children hospital.  We have seen many children with much more life-altering situations than our son has, and have witnessed tremendous improvements for these children while at the Shriners hospital. As we continue our journey with our son, we continue to see that we are exceptionally blessed for the intelligence and kindness of the doctors and volunteers who selflessly go out of their way to care for their patients. We are also incredibly thankful for Shriners organizations that sponsor families like ours to obtain treatment for their children who may not have been able to afford help otherwise.

We will be updating Jakobe’s story as he continues  his journey! Please check back for more updates on this amazing little boy. For more information about becoming a Shriner visit beashrinernow.org.
